In July 2017, at the invitation of the Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce, the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai organized a special investment promotion inspection activity organized by the Hainan Provincial Government, and signed some cooperation projects. In order to make Haikou's funeral reform closely focus on the new concept of modern funerals that is green, eco-friendly, land-saving and environmentally friendly, which was launched by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and promote the continuous innovation and development of Haikou's funeral work. On July 15, the Haikou Municipal Government signed the "Letter of Intent for Investment" for the Haikou Funeral Home and Humanistic Ecological Memorial Park project with Shanghai Shengwang Industrial Group and Jinbo (Shanghai) Construction Engineering Group, and started the construction of key livelihood projects in Haikou City. According to the urban planning and construction requirements of the municipal government, the relocation of the old funeral homes in the urban area is implemented.
